Integration

others may even think of it as the Web-enabling
their legacy code as a faster time-to-market
strategy in lieu of a complete re-engineering
exercise. Many others may refer to Web Services
- the panacea for not only automating inter-application
transactions, but also replacing many of
the older methods of integration such as
C-style APIs and EDI.
Whatever
maybe the context, ‘Application Integration’ compulsorily
refers to the process of bringing data or
a function from one application program together
with that of another application program.
